OUR VISION
“Develop Smart Projects into a Cooler World” – materializes in the implementation of environmentally, socially and economically sustainable projects that lead us towards a cooler world.
We know it’s a long road and we’ll have to rethink the concept of efficiency in the use of natural resources. We believe that we have to define new patterns of services, consumption, production and behavior so that the concept of “less carbon” is not just a combination of two words. We know that we have to look at problems in an innovative and integrated way in collaboration, cooperation and partnership. Only in this way will we create future value in order to achieve a low-carbon economy.
We know it’s a path we want to take! A path that will lead us to a “Cooler World” with zero emissions by the second half of the century.
OUR NAME
According to NASA’s Earth Observatory, the average global temperature on Earth has risen by around 1.01° Celsius since 1880. Two-thirds of the warming has occurred since 1975, at a rate of around 0.15-0.20°C per decade.
Although the results of the Copenhagen conference in 2009 fell short of expectations, it was the first time that the final text recorded the international commitment to a maximum limit of 2 degrees Celsius for the increase in the Earth’s average temperature in the future.
It is in this scenario, in which the average global temperature would rise by a maximum of 2 degrees Celsius, that Get2C drew inspiration. Although the impacts are already negative with this rise, the aim is to minimize them and create opportunities to seriously limit a global temperature increase of more than 2 degrees Celsius.
