The aim of this project is to provide a consultancy service and technical assistance to the Climate Change Directorate (DCC), Climate Change Directorate) at MINAE, the PMR-Costa Rica technical team and the stakeholders relevant throughout the process of: 1) reviewing and updating the current National Carbon Neutrality Plan (NCNP, National Carbon Neutrality Plan) and; 2) reform and transition of the current Domestic Carbon Market (DCM, Domestic Carbon Offset Market) for the so-called Costa Rican Compensation Mechanism (MCCR, Compensation mechanism Costa Rica). These instruments aim to promote mitigation actions in priority sectors and are a contribution to Costa Rica achieving its ambitious climate goals set out in the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC),
