The Brazil Lab Panel evaluated proposals from around the world through a call for ideas, which were selected based on their capacity for action, innovation, potential to catalyze private finance at scale and to support Brazil’s national climate priorities. The Green Receivables Fund aims to develop initiatives related to renewable energies and energy efficiency by making creative use of existing financial instruments such as the Fundo de Investimento em Direitos Creditórios (FIDC). This project proposed by Albion Capital and Get2C Brasil to The Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance makes it possible to raise capital in the early stages of development of initiatives and a transition to private investors, allowing companies to raise funds through the securitization of receivables and apply them to green projects.
